“I have known Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years and I do not think that they are against medicine or medical treatment. To the contrary they seek quality treatment for themselves and their children.
In our clinic we have provided surgical treatment to over 1,000 patients with acquired heart diseases, including Jehovah’s Witnesses, without transfusion of donor blood (plasma and red blood cells) …
… I believe that each doctor who truly cares for his patients should do everything possible to avoid hemotransfusion because transfusions of donor blood along with the benefits carry substantial risks …” (Original in Ukrainian.)
